Box Tops for Education: How to Encourage More Participation
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of General Mills®. The opinions and text are all mine.
Does your school collect Box Tops for Education? How do you encourage parents to collect the Box Tops and send them in to the school?
Box Tops for Education can earn your school extra money to spend on whatever wants or needs they have. Sometimes parents don’t realize how important it is to their school, or how easy it is to collect Box Tops at home!
To make things more interesting at your school, try adding an incentive to the program. My son’s school encourages parents to turn Box Tops in by having a competition between each class and giving the winners a pizza or ice cream party at the end of the competition.
To make it even more interesting, students can win prizes individually. For instance, for every X amount of Box Tops a student turns in, they can win a prize or be entered to win a prize. Bonus Box Top certificates gets them even more entries into the drawing!
Prizes can include:
- Gift cards to a store (think: toy stores!)
- Gift certificate to a local restaurant
- Tickets to a sports event
- Tickets to a concert
- MP3 players
- Handheld gaming systems
- Tablets
- And more!
Box Top Collection Sheets: Race to More Box Tops
To keep the collection fun and more organized than just turning in individual Box Tops, students can use Box Top Collection Sheets to join in the challenge.
