Healthy meal plan delivery service for beginners.
Healthy Meal Plans
We’re one month into the new year, and at this point, I bet many people have given up on weight loss resolutions and a healthy eating plan. Wouldn’t you agree?
Why do they give up? Sometimes, trying to diet to lose weight can fail, and we slip back into old habits. Plus, many times traditional dieting doesn’t help us to develop a healthy lifestyle for the long run.
Thanks to Diet-to-Go, I was given the chance to review five days of their low-carb plans. Don’t let the name fool you though! This is not a traditional diet where you are deprived of food!

About Diet-to-Go Meal Plans
Diet-to-Go is a company that wants to help people eat healthy meals that are easy to prepare and are affordable. Their meals are made with real foods that are fresh and delicious (I can vouch for that!). They want to change people’s perceptions of what dieting really is, which is eating healthy, low-calorie, balanced, fresh foods to lose weight or to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
For the cost of a week’s worth of groceries, you can get chef-made, fresh meals delivered to your door. There’s no extra prep on your end since it is all made and just needs to be heated!
My Review of Diet-to-Go
I was sent five days worth of the Diet-to-Go low carb healthy eating plan, which is three meals a day. I was honestly surprised that the meals were so fresh and actually looked delicious, even frozen!
Each meal is labeled and really easy to store in the freezer or fridge. I like that they had a clear film so that I could see the food inside. I also like that the order form comes with a pre-planned meal calendar. I didn’t have to follow the calendar, but it was nice to have suggestions!
I was hooked from Day 1. The food was delicious. Everything was so flavorful and well seasoned. Best of all, it was fresh! I didn’t need to add a thing. It was also very filling. There was a lot of protein in each dish since it was low carb, so I hardly felt the need to snack at all during the day.
My favorite meals were: tomato mushroom omelet, spinach quiche, baked chicken with goat cheese, chicken roma, chicken marsala, turkey meatloaf, veal parmesan, and the prime rib.
The only meals I didn’t like so much were anything with pork chop. They were very dry, but other than that, they were tasty.
From the first day I set up an account on Diet-to-Go’s mobile app (at the bottom of the webpage you can find it). I decided to use the app over the website since I almost always have my smartphone next to me. At first, the app was wonky. It didn’t seem to have much of anything on it, but after a few hours it came alive with all of its features. It must have had to sync with my account first before it would work properly.
The app was very handy for tracking the food I ate, the water I drank, and any calories I burned. I really like that it had all of my meals already programmed into my account. I didn’t need to search for anything unless I was adding a snack or a drink.

1. Main screen of Diet to Go App. 2. Choice of meals from menu 3. Meal tracker
There are two things I would fix on the app. I would add more water glasses for tracking water intake. I personally drink between 64-96 oz of water a day, and the 12 glasses sometimes just didn’t cut it for me. I would also add a barcode scanner for snacks and additional foods that you eat. I added in a Greek yogurt one day and couldn’t find my brand. I had the option to add in all of the info myself, but didn’t have time for that and used a similar brand instead.
I would also add a handy guide for a person’s particular meal plan. For instance, it would be nice to have a handy guide for the Low Carb meal plan that gave snack suggestions. I had to search for that info on the website.
By the end of the five days, I lost a pound. Diet-to-Go says you could lose 1-2 lbs per week if you follow their plans, so I say that I did pretty good for only being on the plan for 5 days!
I definitely recommend Diet-to-Go if you are looking to lose weight or maintain a healthy lifestyle while eating fresh, delicious, complete meals!
How Much Does Diet-to-Go Cost?
Each plan can be customized to meet your needs. For the traditional and vegetarian meals, you choose plans for men or women, five days or seven days, 2 meals or 3 meals a day. Depending on your choices, your prices could be around $106-$160 a week. For the low carb plan, you choose five days or seven days, 2 meals or 3 meals a day and spend about $120-$180 a week.

With my 25% coupon code below, this first order would only be $109!! Image via Diet-to-Go
Are the prices worth it? In my opinion, totally. Since you get a complete meal, there’s no need to buy extra veggies or sides to go with the meals. You can just get a few snacks and drinks to get you through the week, and spend just as much as you would for a regular order of groceries or less!

What a creative and SMART idea. As with most people I am fine in the home with watching what I eat, but eating elsewhere is an entire other thing. I am way too influenced by what others are eating. I also like the idea that on days when planning fails it is quick and easy to avoid bad choices!! EXCELLENT idea!!
