Jamberry Nail Wraps Review
Isn’t is nice to have something in your beauty routine to be easy and last longer than a day? I get so frustrated when I do my nails and the polish chips within a day or the manicure I pay for doesn’t last.
I’m sure at this point you have all heard of Jamberry Nail Wraps, right? They are nail applications designed to be gentle on your wallet while giving you longer lasting art on your nails.
I’ll be honest. The first time I tried Jamberry Nail Wraps months ago, I wasn’t thrilled. At the time, I only had my hair dryer to cure the wraps and it didn’t do a very good job. The wraps were off within a day or so. So much for great looking nails!
When Jamberry consultant Sarah contacted me about a review for my Holiday Gift Guide, I wasn’t sure if I was going to go through with it. I asked her if it was possible to try new wraps AND a dryer, and thankfully she said yes! I was certain the dryer would be the solution to my problem.
I let my daughter help choose the pattern on the wraps. She just started yelling, “Frozen! Frozen!”
Want to guess which pattern she chose?
The name of this pattern is “Let It Snow”. I chose that one, but in hindsight I wish I had the Snow and Ice wraps for her little nails. But see how they could be perfect for Frozen nails?
Applying the Jamberry Nail Wraps
This time, before applying the wraps, I made sure to have all of my tools ready to go and to follow each and every step as carefully as possible. Nails were cleaned, wraps were sized, heater was turned on, and I was ready to go!
I can’t tell you how much better it was to use the heater!! It was convenient to have it going the whole time, making the whole process much faster. It also didn’t burn my skin as much as my hairdryer did.
I did have a few nails with wrinkles in them, but that was my error. I did find a helpful video to remedy that, which I’ll have to try next time I apply the Jamberry Nail Wraps. One other problem I came across was that the wraps didn’t quite give an exact fit for some of my nails, but with some trimming I was able to make them work.
I also applied the wraps to my daughter and my niece in what I call the “Ana Elsa Pattern”. It’s a lil’ purplish springtime wrap for Ana and the Let It Go winter wrap for Elsa.

Unfortunately, the girls did not keep their wraps on for longer than an hour… But as for mine?
Mine lasted for 8 days. 8 DAYS! To me, that’s pretty fantastic. While Jamberry says your wraps can last up to 2 week on your hands, I still think 8 days is great. Wanna know why?
I purposefully beat my hands up. I wanted to see how long these wraps lasted. I did everything I normally do and more: cleaned, cooked, folded clothes, took care of the kiddos, raked leaves, washed dishes, etc.
Honestly, from a distance even on the 8th day, the nails looked fine. I was still getting compliments on them!
The kicker was the morning of the 9th day when I opened up my dishwasher that had just finished the drying cycle. I reached in as the steam was coming out, and when I looked at my nails afterwards, I noticed that many of the wraps had started peeling, so I removed them.
But 8 days. How long do your manicures last when you use your hands for everyday activities? Most likely not that long without touch ups!
I highly recommend the Jamberry Nail Wraps for dressing up your nails this holiday season!
