School Supplies for Virtual School
Will your student be learning from home this year? So many students will be in virtual school at the beginning of the school year, including my own.
Do you have everything you need to help your student to be successful when distance learning? I know I didn’t have everything when our kids left school at the end of the last school year, but this year I’m going to be prepared!

Next, you’ll need the technology. My kids will be receiving Chromebooks from their school this year, but we also have this HP Stream laptop that works well for kids in elementary school.
As for tablets, we also have Amazon Fire tablets for all of my kids. These work well for Zoom meetings and for watching videos, but they may not have other capabilities like these other tablets might.
TIP: You can purchase an Amazon Fire tablet and pay in affordable payments, with no interest.
Since the kids will be looking at screens, blue light glasses will be helpful to prevent eye strain.
Some teachers like when students have whiteboards at home to interact and participate during virtual meetings.
Finally, you’ll need the basic school supplies, like pencils, paper, notebooks, binders, etc. I really like all of the school supply kits and bundles available. No need to go looking for everything in stores!

Additional School Supplies for Distance Learning
Here is a list of some other items you might consider for virtual learning:
- Web cam
- Wireless mouse
- Desk lamp
- Water bottle
- Snacks
- Bluetooth speaker
If your computer or tablet doesn’t have a camera, a web cam will be needed for virtual meetings.
While not necessary, my kids like using a wireless mouse with our laptop instead of the touch pad.
A desk lamp with a bright bulb will help to illuminate the learning space. I love lamps with charging ports for tablets and phones!
A leak-proof stainless steel water bottle would help your student to stay hydrated. Insulated bottles can help keep water cold for hours.
Some students study and retain information better with a little bit of noise, so a bluetooth speaker can be used to play some classical or instrumental music.

A comfortable chair is definitely a must when sitting in front of the computer!
