Silicone Teething Necklaces
When my oldest was a baby, he broke not one but three of my favorite silver necklaces. I should have known better: babies grab at anything and everything when they’re so close to you all of the time! This is why with my youngest two, I started to wear silicone teething necklaces.
Reasons to Wear Silicone Teething Necklaces
If you have a baby or toddler who is constantly grabbing your jewelry when you’re holding them, you should really consider silicone teething necklaces. Why?
- Your regular jewelry won’t get ruined.
- Silicone teething necklaces are safer for babies to chew on since they’re made with food-grade silicone.
- Silicone teething necklaces keep baby quietly entertained while they are being held or nursed.
Willow + Mae Silicone Teething Necklaces
When the owner of Willow + Mae contacted me to write this review, I said yes since I believe in silicone teething necklaces.
From the Owners of Willow + Mae:
Our necklaces allow you to love your baby by giving them something unique to play with, grasp, and chew while you’re holding or wearing them close. They also are a great opportunity to love yourself by choosing a style and color that is uniquely you. As a mom, it’s easy to fall into a fashion rut. Willow + Mae teething jewelry is the perfect addition to any wardrobe, dressy or casual. Whatever your style, we have something to meet your needs.
I really like that they take style into consideration. Some teething necklaces out there are more about baby and less about Mom, but hey, Moms like things that are functional AND stylish!
Willow + Mae silicone teething necklaces are made of the best food grade silicone beads and are free from BPA, PVC, phthalates, lead, latex, cadmium, and metal. This is SUPER important to note, especially since your baby will have these necklaces in his or her mouth!
Their teething necklaces feature a breakaway clasp in case baby pulls on the necklace, plus an exposed cord to prevent hair from being pulled on your neck.
In 2015 the owner’s youngest daughter sustained an injury to her head that caused her to be kept in the pediatric ICU for three weeks. While she was there, the family stayed in the Ronald McDonald House across the street. To honor the kindness of the staff and volunteers there, they created the necklace Sunset Miracle, which as you can see has the colors of the Ronald McDonald House. Proceeds from the sale of this necklace goes back to the Ronald McDonald House. They also have donated necklaces for other moms and dads to use while they stay there.
I also chose Isabella in Black because, let’s face it, black goes with everything! I really like the hexagon bead to mix things up a bit, plus it makes for a more interesting teething surface.
I think of this one as my more ‘elegant’ teething necklace. I wear it to church when I’m all dressed up.
These necklaces are great. They’re fun to wear, the baby has something to play with, and they’re easy to clean (they can be rinsed with soap and water OR put in the top rack of the dishwasher!).
Many thanks to Willow + Mae for sending me these necklaces to review!
