Bluetooth Remote Control Camera Shutter
Have you taken photos with your smartphone camera only to find out their blurry because you shook when you held the smartphone? One solution to fix that is to use a Bluetooth Remote Control Camera Shutter, a wireless button that can be used without even touching your smartphone!
I was excited to find out that I’d be reviewing the Gadgin Bluetooth Remote Control Camera Shutter for my smartphone! This is a very handy device to have when you take a lot of pictures using your smartphone, as I do as a blogger and mom. It’s small, portable, and very easy to use, three big pluses in my book. See it in action in my video below!
The Gadgin is compatible with mobile phones, iPhones, iPad, iPod, Galaxy S3, S4, S5, Note 3, 4 which requires support Bluetooth 4.0, IOS 6.0 or later. For the Sony Xperia S and HTC New one and X+ it’s supported only with Camera360 App, which I believe is free to download. It does work with tablets as well. It doesn’t support Windows phones.
Within minutes I had it synced to my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S4, and was taking pictures. What’s awesome about it is you can have your phone on a tripod or otherwise supported and take the photo without having to worry about your hands shaking and not getting a great shot. You can also be about 30 feet away and still use the button!
The bluetooth remote control camera shutter also works for videos! I like that I have the ability to switch to video mode and take videos (although you have to make sure it doesn’t shut off after just a few minutes). I haven’t tried it out on Periscope yet, but I certainly am going to try!!
This remote control comes with two watch batteries, which is awesome that you don’t have to go out and buy your own. It’s ready to go right out of the package! Just be careful if you have little kids around who like to stick things in their mouths as watch batteries can be very dangerous. I would suggest to the company to perhaps secure the battery compartment a tad better to ensure that kids can’t pry it open on their own.
The carrying case and strap are also nice additions. I can keep this remote control in my bag and have it anytime I need it.

My only wish is that it also came with a smartphone tripod of some sort. You can see in my video I used an old plate stand (don’t judge! My kiddos use them with their tablets all the time!) but a tripod for photos would be preferred. I found this set of three flexible tripods on Amazon that I have on my own wishlist for the near future.
The Gadgin Bluetooth Remote Control Camera Shutter would be a great birthday or holiday gift for anyone who takes photos with their smartphone or tablet! I would definitely recommend it!
Note: I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. All words and opinions are mine. All products I receive to review are thoroughly tested before reviews are written. I would not recommend anything that didn’t work for me and my family.
